I serve as a Microbiology professor in the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences, and Technology at the University of Panama, and as a research studies coordinator associated with the Carson Center and the Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a specialization in Microbiology and Parasitology from the University of Panama. Subsequently, I was awarded a scholarship from the DAAD to pursue a Master’s degree in Tropical Diseases in Costa Rica in 2008.

Additionally, I have been involved in studies related to vector-borne tropical diseases such as leishmaniasis, trypanosomiasis, dengue, and other arboviruses.

Since 2010, I have worked as a clinical studies coordinator, participating in research on drugs and vaccines funded by international institutions such as the Office of The Surgeon General, Department of the U.S. Army, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Pfizer, GSK, and Takeda.
