DMV, MSc (c)

I am a veterinarian with experience in the agri-food industry, dedicated to safeguarding human health through the consumption of safe animal-derived products. My background in both agriculture and small animal clinics has allowed me to understand the importance of our environment, both for animals and humans. This understanding led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Veterinary Public Health, aiming to work daily integrating these three factors.

My research focus is on diseases with zoonotic potential, seeking to understand their mechanisms of action and their variability according to the environment, whether in endemic or non-endemic areas. I am interested in studying risk factors related to wildlife displacement as potential hosts, as well as the impact of climate change on the cycle of these diseases.
