Throughout my 5 years of experience in the Rabies and Zoonosis Laboratory of the National Institute of Health of Colombia, I have established as a professional objective the study of rabies transmitted by domestic animals.

In this role, I have focused my ejorts on capacity building and the generation of technical evidence for epidemiological surveillance, contributing significantly to the formulation of plans for the elimination of dog-mediated human rabies in Colombia.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Universidad de La Salle in Bogota, Colombia, and I am currently a Master’s student in Biological Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. My goal is to further develop my skills in the field of biology and public health, contributing to the growth and success of zoonotic disease research and control efforts.
